When Elton John is to get married, it is most likely that also Sting and Trudie will be invited. Elton John has named December 21st the day to wed his long-term partner, David Furnish. The couple have been together for 11 years and make use of the law from December 5th that recognises civil gay partnerships.
Elton John was married before to engineer Renate Blauel in 1984; the couple stayed married for four years, although John later admitted he realised he was homosexual before his marriage.
