“For the artistic and cultural values he brings to Milan and Italy through his music”. With this reason Mr. Giovanni Terzi of Milan Council conferred to Sting the Seal of the City of Milan last wednesday, while the artist was busy rehearsing for his show at S. Maria delle Grazie. Sting said he was honoured to be able to bring his music in such an amazing location and joked that he would use the certification as a passe-par-tout during his stay in Milan. Mr. Terzi thanked Sting for his affection for the city of Milan and thanked the Friars for their helpfulness in welcoming Sting, his staff and the audience. After the short and informal ceremony, Sting asked to visit Leonardo’s last supper before getting back to his rehersals.
