Sting was in the studio to record his contribution for a new CD (together with Joss Stone, he performs “Love Sneakin’ Up On You”), due for release this summer to coincide with Les Paul’s 90th birthday. The album, released by Capitol/EMI Music Catalog Marketing, also features Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Joss Stone, Richie Sambora and a host of other musicians. (Thanks Steve)
On a sidenote, Sting was presented with the coveted Les Paul Award at the 15th Annual Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards, held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City, 2000.
