In the context of the “Hal Willner’s I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues? Music and Readings from ‘A Fine Romance: Jewish Songwriters, American Songs'” performance on January 27, 2010 at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Allen Room, Time Warner Center, Sting performed “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “Love Is Here to Stay” -both written by George Gershwin with lyrics by Ira Gershwin from the musical Oh, Kay! (1926)- with a 14-member orchestra.
Critics were not very happy about the overall quality of the show, albeit that Sting was positively embraced.
