Trudie Styler seems to be keen on competing with fellow female colleagues. Asked about the Oscar-winning success of The Hurt Locker filmmaker Kathyrn, she quipped: “I’ll be next” adding “I want to direct a film – I’ve directed a documentary and a short and I’m very much gearing up towards directing in the next few years… I think we’re going to see more female directors. There are far more women producers than there are women directors, but I think it’s growing. It’s obviously time.” She did however not want to confirm anything about her possible involvement in the upcoming Kurt Cobain biopic, despite Kurt’s widow Courtney Love saying she would like her to help with the film. In the meantime, Trudie does appear shortly in The Next Three Days alongside Russell Crowe, as well as in Paris Connections.
