An arrest has been made in the murder of punk-rock matriarch Linda Stein. Her body was found bludgeoned in Manhattan on Halloween night. Stein’s personal assistant, Natavia Lowery, 26, has been charged after making what police termed “statements implicating herself.”
Stein, 62, was an early champion of the downtown New York punk scene that centered on CBGB. After comanaging the Ramones, she went into Manhattan real estate, earning the sobriquet “broker to the stars.” Her celebrity clients included Billy Joel, Steven Spielberg, Madonna, Sting and Angelina Jolie.
