A once-famous New York Mafia haunt is set to become the site of David Bowie and Sting?s new burlesque club. The odd couple has teamed up with Los Angeles club boss Ivan Kane with a view to replicating his Forty Deuce hang-outs in the Big Apple. And, after a series of false starts, the trio has settled on a new home at the former Little Charlie’s Clam Bar in Little Italy. At one point, in December, it looked as if the new Forty Deuce would never open in New York after a Manhattan landlord pulled out of a deal to lease one of his West 21st Street buildings to the trio at the last minute. The new club, which is being built at a reported cost of $4 million, will compliment Kane’s Forty Deuce venues in Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
