STING’S WRITER’S BLOCK

ContactMusic reported that Sting is suffering from a chronic case of writer’s block, and he insists old age is to blame. While Sting is famed for his youthful looks, he admits time is catching up with his creative prowess. He says, “I am still writing but it’s taking me much longer these days. It’s harder as you get older. “When will I bring out a new album? How long’s a piece of string?”
On a sidenote however, it must be emphasised that The Soul Cages, one of Sting’s masterpieces, was the outcome of a writer’s block period. Maybe a new creative process might be launched in a similar way, letting us forget the rather inspireless bland Sacred Love release…
