STING IN REMAKE OF WE ARE THE WORLD

According to various online sources, Quincy Jones and Lionel Ritchie are working on a remake of “We are the world” (1985) to support the Haiti relief efforts. Sting, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys and Fergie would already have agreed to participate, while also the voice of Michael Jackson would be mixed into this new version. The recordings would take place the day after the Grammys, Monday, 1 February 2010 and would be recorded at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Grammy producer Ken Ehrlich will produce the event, which will then be turned into a video and single just like it was in 1985. UPDATE: Sting did not participate.
