Viacom has attracted the support of Sting, Don Henley, Bruce Hornsby and Garth Brooks in its legal battle with YouTube. Issue is that YouTube only removes copyrighted content on request, and claims as such to be protected under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. However, Viacom is disputing this, stating that YouTube did know that copyrights were being violated on its site and that they took insufficient steps to stop it.
