25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SECRET POLICEMAN’S BALL

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Amnesty International’s ground-breaking comedy show, The Secret Policeman’s Ball. A new BBC Arena documentary has been filmed to mark the anniversary. It had its film premiere on 2 December and will have its TV premiere screening on 9 December.
On 15 November, a new DVD box set of the original shows plus the documentary went go on sale. And on the same day, a web site dedicated to the shows, featuring film and audio clips and a photo gallery, went live.
Narrated by Dawn French, the documentary includes interviews with many of the comedians and musicians who took part: John Cleese, Stephen Fry, Michael Palin, Sting, Lenny Henry and many more.
