Andy Summers, guitarist for The Police, made a rare appearance at the Fender® booth during the 2007 Winter NAMM show in Anaheim, Calif. He performed Wes Montgomery and Miles Davis classics (on his NEW Fender Custom Shop Tribute Series Telecaster® guitar through a Super-Sonic amp) before launching into The Police’s anthem, “Message In A Bottle.”
Backed by recording artists and Fender clinicians, Greg Koch (guitar), Reggie Hamilton (bass) and John Calarco (drums) – Summers summoned the crowd to sing along before Guild® artist, Wily Porter, jumped onstage and sent out his own, “S.O.S.”.
