BLACK EYED PEAS TOOK STING’S HELICOPTER TO GLASTONBURY

ContactMusic reports how the Black Eyed Peas were forced to take Sting’s helicopter to last summer’s (2004) Glastonbury Festival (UK) when a quick trip to Sting’s Wiltshire domain left them running late for their appearance. Sting had invited the group to visit him in between a festival date in Spain and their Glastonbury show, but they had no idea a tour of Sting’s Lake House estate would take so long. Rapper Will.I.Am recalls arriving at the festival in style: “The audience thought it was part of the show.” The story is told in a comic strip in the new issue of rock magazine Spin.
