Not sure if this is really something to be proud of, but Pete Doherty played a surprise gig alongside the daughter of Police frontman Sting in London on May 29th. Doherty joined 17-year-old Coco Sumner on drums at the impromptu show at Jazz After Dark in Soho. The Babyshambles frontman used the gig to express his admiration for Sumner, telling the crowd: “This is the amazing Coco. She’s one of the reasons this country’s good.”
