RAINFOREST FOUNDATION EVENING

To open the annual Rainforest Foundation Fund benefit concert at Carnegie Hall on 8 May, co-founder Sting, James Taylor and Billy Joel traded harmonies like old buddies for a jubilant version of “Turn! Turn! Turn!” It became an entire family affair when Billy Joel, James Taylor and Sting all hit the stage with their children by their sides singing both with and without them. Sting said it was emotional performing with his daughter Coco. Taylor had two of his children on stage, while Joel had daughter Alexa Ray with him. The three-hour affair consisted of more than 25 songs including some of the artists’ biggest hits like Sting’s Englishman in New York, Joel’s Innocent Man, and Taylor’s Caroline On My Mind.
