STING, SHERYL, BUT NO LANCE

Copyright REUTERS Lucy NicholsonDuring the 48th annual Grammys ceremony Wednesday at Staples Center, Sheryl Crow and Sting handed out rock group Cream’s Lifetime Achievement Award. In related news, jazz pianist Billy Childs won the “Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist” (sharing the award with arrangers Gil Goldstein and Heitor Pereira) for Chris Botti’s and Sting’s “What Are You Doing For The Rest of Your Life”.
Cyclist Lance Armstrong pulled out of presenting at the Grammy Awards Wednesday night because he didn’t want to run in to his ex Sheryl Crow at the event.
Funny detail: Always On Your Side is a love song to ex-fiance Lance Armstrong for her Wildflower album, and has recently been re-recorded with Sting since he loved the tune a lot apparently.
